VICE-CHAMPION GETS A PRESENT - A COMPUTER FROM A PRESIDENT

At the last European Championship in kickboxing, held from October 29 to November 04 in Ankara (Turkey), the Serbian national team performed with two contestants from Kickboxing Club "Niš" Jovana Krstic and Stevan Zivkovic. In very strong competition Zivkovic won second place in the low kick to 75 kg and brought back to his country and town silver. On this occasion, President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic welcomed this exceptional athlete and gave as a present a computer, a gift Palilula.

"We greatly appreciate the talented and successful young people, said the president received Dzunic. We gave in our Strategy of Municipal Development special importance to the development and promotion of sport and recreational activities for our citizens. This is why the result of Stevan Zivkovic in a way oblige us to practically show. At the Championship of Europe 2010 in Baku (Azerbaijan) Stevan Zivkovic won a silver medal in the finals when he was defeated on points of Bokaro Samba from France. The following 2011 at the World Championships in Skopje (Macedonia) on the way to the finals after defeating the French revenged him in the semifinals, but in the final on points lost from Hassan Kaliev from Russia, so the gold medal once again escaped. As the world vice-champion in kick boxing this year continued with a series of successful performances.

About his own results Zivkovic modestly just say that they the product of daily work and training. Until now he did not have any support of the City and this gesture of Palilula leadership, according to Stevan Zivkovic is very much hopeful that athletes in our community are not alone.
